Sunnking Electronics and eScrap Recycling, a recycling company based in Brockport which deals with old cell phones and other out of date electronics, have teamed up with the charity known as Foodlink in a bid to help them continue to feed the needy in the county of Rochester and other surrounding areas.
Foodlink serves around ten separate counties and helps over a hundred and twenty five thousand people by redistributing millions of pounds worth of food to other agencies which help to feed the poor and the homeless, and Sunnking Electronics and eScrap Recycling has decided to help out by staging an old cellular phone and electronics recycling day where seventy percent of all profits made will be donated to the charity.
The event is set to be staged on Saturday the fifth of March between nine am in the morning and two pm in the afternoon at 936 Exchange Street, the Rochester based of the Foodlink organization. “The people we serve are the beneficiaries of every new partnership,” says the executive director and original founder of Foodlink, Tom Ferraro. “Sunnking is committed to the same sense of social responsibility that Foodlink is. It’s a perfect fit.”
Sunnking Electronics and eScrap Recycling has collected tens of millions of pounds of old cell phones and other electronics from citizens and businesses in Western New York, and has successfully reused or recycled ninety seven percent of all items donated, with a goal of eventually making it one hundred percent.
