4 Days To Go
For diehard shoppers there is no day more magical than the day after Thanksgiving. This traditional start of the Christmas shopping season is the day bargain hunters around the country wait for, and many of those bargain hunters will be up before dawn ready to snag the best deals for their friends and family members.
In fact the day after Thanksgiving has become a holiday in its own right, one casually known as Black Friday. The name Black Friday is not as ominous as it sounds. In fact retailers look forward to this occasion with great anticipation, and this traditional start of the shopping season is often the time when the retail books shift from scary red ink to more pleasant black ink as the profits begin to roll in.
Of course everyone else is likely to be out after those same bargains, so getting the best deals can be quite a challenge. For diehard Black Friday shoppers this is part of the challenge, and many people enjoy the thrill of the chase nearly as much as the bargains.
For those whose goal is to snag the best bargains, however, it is important to have a plan. Heading off to Black Friday without a game plan can leave shoppers frustrated and disappointed. There are many different ways to approach this unique holiday, but one of the best strategies is the team approach.
Round-up Like-Minded Friends
We all know that shopping is more fun when it is shared, and Black Friday is a great time to round up like-minded friends and family members for a fun filled trip to the mall.
Go Through Newspapers
Many veteran Black Friday shoppers love to spend Thanksgiving night going through those stacks of sales flyers from the newspaper, making a list of all those bargains and the stores where they can be found.
Go For Stores Close to Each Other
After the deals have been mapped out, it is time to get down to business. It is a good idea to look for a cluster of stores within a close proximity to one another. This strategy will help ensure access to the best bargains at the greatest number of stores.
Check Opening Times
When making that Black Friday game plan it is also important to keep an eye on store opening times. Many stores open as early as 5 a.m. on the day after Thanksgiving, and some even open at the strike of midnight. Knowing which stores open when will help shoppers snag the most sought after bargains and still have time for a hearty post shopping spree breakfast.
