A bride has been caught on camera texting on her cell phone while walking down the aisle at her own wedding in California in the United States. A videographer who was taping the ceremony caught the moment on video camera, and the incident has now become a big hit on video sharing site YouTube.
The bride apparently has the cell phone tucked in her bra, but proceeds to pull it out after her walk down the aisle, apparently reading and then replying to a text before placing it back in her bra even as the preacher can be heard talking in the background about God’s love and the sanctity of marriage.
“This is part of a wedding video I shot in August 2008 at the Mission Beach’s Women’s Club in San Diego, CA,” says professional videographer Jim Costa, who is responsible for the video’s YouTube success. “It was otherwise perfectly normal except for this one funny clip of the bride texting just after her dad walked her down the aisle! At one point, I noticed her doing it through my lens and I had to pull away from the camera to make certain I was seeing what I thought I was seeing. Totally funny!”
The identity of the shamelessly texting bride has not been made public, nor has whether she continued to text on her wedding night.
